+ 87 points in the national rating — kbsu developes!

On June 5, the international information group «Interfax» presented the results of the 9th annual National University Ranking for the 2017/2018 academic year. It is encouraging to note that the Kabardino-Balkaria State University. H.M. Berbekov rose in the composite rating from 75th to 61st stage, adding 87 points for the year.
The conference of the project «National University Ranking» invited leaders of higher educational institutions, showing a high dynamics of development. Doctor of Technical Sciences, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Rector of Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after. H.M. Berbekova Yury Altudov was invited to the presidium of the meeting and took part in the discussion of the results of studies conducted by experts from Interfax.

Within the framework of the rating, 288 leading universities of Russia were evaluated (23 more than last year), including 29 national research universities, 10 federal, 33 supporting universities, as well as 21 universities participating in the Project 5-100, 7 leading non-state universities ,

The activity of universities is estimated by six parameters in a 1000-point scale, the integral evaluation is formed in six main areas: education, research, social environment, international and interregional cooperation, innovations and the university’s brand. Six parametric rating numbers are also published on the basis of each of the directions.

In the direction of «Research» Kabardino-Balkar State University achieved breakthrough results, adding 130 points a year and took 45 positions, took 50th place, ahead of all universities of the North Caucasus Federal District. The main criteria for this indicator are financing R & D, scientific productivity of authors, training highly qualified research staff.

In addition, strengthened positions in such areas as «Innovations» (+29 points up, 43rd place), «Internationalization» (+17 points up, 106th place) and «Socialization» (2 points, 45th place).

As noted in the management of KBSU, the indicators showed that the parameters of the development strategy of the university were chosen correctly. All this became possible due to infrastructure changes, the introduction of innovative educational programs, raising the level of wages of students and universities.

Kabardino-Balkarian State University is confidently included in the top 50 best universities of the country. In the near future, the goal is to enter the category of top 50 by a consolidated rating, for this the university has all the necessary infrastructure, technical and methodical resources, and, most importantly, highly qualified personnel.
