Release date: 27.09.2021
September 23, 28 employees of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H. M. Berbekov received certificates of completion of advanced training courses in English for scientific and pedagogical personnel of the university under the additional professional program «Bilingua» indicating the level of language competence according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages (CEFR) from A1 to C2.
In my opinion, a university teacher must know at least one foreign language. This is the requirement of today. Moreover, about 2,000 foreign students receive higher education at KBSU, and teachers who speak a foreign language are needed for their training. Realizing the importance of this problem, the Center for the Study of Foreign Languages in 2016 opened three-month courses in English under the Bilingual program. The courses operate on the basis of registration in the unified register of additional educational programs of the Russian Federation and are aimed at the ability of the teaching staff to conduct foreign language professional communication. This year we have the 7th graduation, and a total of 129 people have completed bilingual vocational training in our courses,
— commented the deputy. Director of the Center for the Study of Foreign Languages of KBSU, Ph.D. Larisa Temrokova.
To wish the graduates of the courses further success in mastering the English language came their teachers, Ph. n. Venera Salbieva and Director of the Higher School of International Education, Ph.D. n. Albert Shapsigov.
The number of foreign students in our university testifies to the fact that KBSU has loudly declared itself in the international arena. I would like to note that the university’s leadership places great emphasis on English-speaking education. Our employees must develop, grow as professionals. I hope that the knowledge gained will help you not only in teaching, but also in working on scientific articles in English,
— said Albert Shapsigov.
Graduates also expressed their gratitude to the teachers and expressed a desire to extend the program in order to maintain and improve their knowledge of the English language.
