The admissions campaign begins on June 20. How will the application process be organized this year?

The application process begins synchronously across Russia on June 20 and will continue throughout the summer. This year, applicants have three convenient application options: in person at the Admissions Office, online through the Gosuslugi portal (the «Online University Admissions» service), or through postal services.

– What key dates do applicants need to know?

For those applying for state-funded programs based on Unified State Exam results, the application deadline is July 25.

Applicants applying for state-funded programs based on a secondary vocational education degree and passing the internal entrance examinations must submit their documents by July 15.

For contract-based students, the application deadline is August 29, and for those applying for fee-paying programs based on internal examinations, the deadline is August 11.

– How many programs can I apply to?

According to federal regulations, applicants can apply to up to five universities in the Russian Federation. Each university can select up to five programs.

– What documents do I need to prepare?

The mandatory application package includes an educational document (certificate or diploma), SNILS and TIN, a medical certificate, a vaccination certificate, a registration certificate (for males), a disability certificate (if applicable), and documents confirming individual achievements. A complete and up-to-date list is available on the university’s official website in the «Applicants» section.

What individual achievements earn additional points? Are there any changes?

A detailed list is available on the KBSU website. But in short, 10 points are added to the Unified State Exam scores for a gold or silver medal, as well as a certificate with honors. Winning the Abilympics competition also earns 10 points. A gold or silver GTO badge earns 3 points. The Candidate for Master of Sports (CMS) sports rank earns 6 additional points. An important change concerns the volunteer record book: it is now evaluated according to a new system. One point is awarded for each year since your first volunteer act, up to a maximum of 4 points. The final essay, which high school graduates write in December, earns 1 point. Winning and placing in KBSU Olympiads also earns additional points, ranging from 3 to 10 points.

The university can award a maximum of 10 points for individual achievements. Applicants’ individual achievements are reflected in the overall system, and if there are tied points, the applicant with the most individual achievements wins.

Yes. The College of Design is now accepting applications for a new program in Advertising at the secondary vocational education level. This year, admission to this program is fee-based.

– Which programs were the most popular last year, and what can we expect this year?

Traditionally, the classic programs remain the leaders: medicine, law, and economics. At the same time, we have seen a steady increase in interest in engineering and technology. We hope this positive trend will continue this year.

– How does the university support talented applicants?

We have developed a system of financial and academic support. Graduates who score 100 points on the Unified State Exam (USE) receive a one-time payment of 100,000 rubles. High-scorers (the threshold is determined separately for each program) receive a monthly stipend of 10,000 rubles during the first semester. KBSU also has a vibrant Olympiad movement. Participation in specialized and North Caucasus Subject Olympiads allows students to earn 3 to 10 additional points during admission.
