Responsible for increasing the accessibility and quality of education for persons with disabilities, organizing their career guidance work, as well as for job placement of graduates with disabilities, pro-rector for educational work and social issues.
A benevolent environment for students with special needs has been created in Kabardino-Balkarian State University, which helps to reduce the time for adaptation of students of disabled people and persons with disabilities to the content and organization of the educational process.
On the university’s website in the section «Applicants» there is information about the conditions of admission to the university for disabled people and persons with disabilities.
At the university there is a practice of psychological support for disabled people and persons with disabilities, starting from the moment of applying to the admission committee, an expert supervising questions of special categories of applicants. In the future, the curators of the groups in which students with disabilities are trained and persons with disabilities continue this work with these categories of students using the individual approach method.
The training of people with disabilities and disabled persons in the university can be carried out both in general groups and under individual programs. During the classes in groups where disabled people and students with disabilities are trained, sound amplification equipment, multimedia and other means can be used to increase the level of perception of educational information by students with various disabilities.
The form of the current and final certification for persons with disabilities can be established taking into account individual psychophysical features (verbally, in writing on paper, in writing on a computer, in the form of testing, etc.), if necessary, an additional time for the person with disabilities preparation of the answer on the test or examination.
Educational information for people with disabilities and disabled people, posted in a special section on the official website of KBSU, is developed in accordance with the standard of ensuring the availability of web content.
Also, if necessary, a student from a volunteer movement or several students are attached to an invalid or a person with disabilities to help them learn the material. One of the most important areas of social protection activities is the promotion of employment and employment of persons with disabilities and university graduates, increasing their social adaptation in the regional labor market. The University has a Center for Assistance and Employment of Graduates and Students and their consolidation in the workplace. The main activities of the center are constant interaction with employers in the regional labor market and active forms and methods of working with students (presentations of companies and graduates, job fairs, master classes and training seminars, etc.).

For disabled people and people with disabilities, the university has the following conditions:
places for parking of motor vehicles of disabled people;
entrance to the university building is equipped with a ramp;
at the entrance to the educational building there is a button for calling employees for wheelchair users;
in the educational building there are portable and stationary ramps;
equipped with a hygienic room on the first floor of the building;
advanced training courses for the teaching staff of the University on the program «Fundamentals of inclusive education in the university»;
there is an alternative version of the official university website on the Internet;
psychological and other advisory assistance to students with disabilities;
the «Accessibility passport for disabled persons of the facility and the services provided in it in the field of education»;
The University Roadmap for the organization of accessibility of the facility and the services it provides is developed.
