Release date: 02.12.2024

At the republican meeting in the Palace of Children and Youth Creativity in Nalchik, issues related to the organization of additional education for children in the tourism-local history and physical education-sports fields in Kabardino-Balkaria were discussed.

Director of the Institute of Management, Tourism and Hospitality Industry of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov Ramazan Ligidov outlined his vision of the problem. According to him, it is necessary to develop a regional program for the development of youth tourism and include various forms in it (hikes, excursions, camps, ecotourism, local history tourism, etc.).

Ligidov pointed out the lack of a regulatory framework that regulates the organization and safety of youth tourism:

It is necessary to clearly define the responsibility of the participants in the process (schools, tour organizers, parents).

Ramazan Muayedovich proposed integrating youth tourism into the educational process.

It is necessary to develop methodological recommendations for including tourism elements in curricula and extracurricular activities and provide for the possibility of taking into account tourist trips and expeditions when assessing students.

According to the director of the Institute of Tourism and Information Technologies of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University, it is necessary to ensure the development of a system of subsidies and grant support:

One of such steps would be the creation of a regional fund to support youth tourism, which would provide financial assistance to schools and public organizations for organizing tourist trips and events.

Ligidov introduced an initiative to provide schools with the necessary equipment for organizing tourist trips (tents, sleeping bags, tourist equipment) and conducting excursions (transportation, multimedia equipment).

It is necessary to involve volunteers in organizing and conducting tourist events, create an information base with the designation of tourist routes, and also develop a security monitoring system that provides for regular control over the organization and conduct of tourist events. This concept also includes insurance for participants in tourist trips,

— summed up Ramazan Ligidov.

As the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic Anzor Ezaov explained during an online communication with the participants, the relevance of the event is due to the need to analyze the state, update the content and technologies of additional education in these areas.

In the context of the implementation of the plan of the main events held within the framework of the Decade of Childhood, we intend to appeal to the Government of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic with a proposal to create a state institution of additional education «Center for Children’s and Youth Tourism and Local History» on the platform of the children’s tourist center «Kizilovka» in Nalchik,

— noted Ezaov.

The priorities include the creation of a regional system for managing children’s and youth sports in Kabardino-Balkaria, financial support to improve the efficiency of school sports clubs and an increase in the amount of funds for competitive activities.

The resolution of the meeting noted that the education authorities of municipal district and urban district administrations are recommended to strengthen control over the organization and holding of the school and municipal stages of the «Presidential Sports Games» and «Presidential Competitions». It is proposed to prepare teams for participation in the all-Russian stages within the framework of specialized shifts based on the regional center for identifying and supporting gifted children «Antares». It is also necessary to update and modernize additional education programs in the tourism and local history and physical education and sports areas. Continue work on including school sports clubs in the federal register, and use network interaction with children’s sports schools in their activities.
