“Wonderful lace” was woven again at KBSU

January 11 at Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov summed up the results of the republican drawing competition “Wonderful Lace — 2023”, in which 290 people took part, from preschoolers to university students.

The initiative to hold the competition belongs to the head of the scientific and educational center of Russian language and culture of KBSU, Nadezhda Chaika, who explained:

“Participation in the drawing competition contributes not only to aesthetic education, but also to the preservation of the cultural and historical heritage of Russia, the formation in children of a sense of patriotism, pride in the Fatherland, drawing attention to the problems of preserving Russian artistic crafts, and disseminating knowledge of folk art.”
Members of the jury from among the teachers of KBSU noted that the young artists coped with the task perfectly and, as a result, created their works based on Gzhel, Khokhloma, Filimonov, Kargapol, Gorodets, Pavloposad, Mezen, Palekh, Dymkovo and other types of paintings.

Opening the award ceremony, acting Vice-Rector for Organization of Admissions and Pre-University Activities Arsen Kharaev noted that such competitions introduce children to the university and that they subsequently become students of KBSU.

“Being not only a center of education and science, but also a center of culture, the university pursues one very important goal — identifying and supporting talented youth. Also, through such competitions, we strive to promote the education of children’s aesthetic taste, their involvement in artistic activities, the preservation of historical and cultural memory and, of course, the attraction of potential talented students,” noted Kharaev.
Arsen Mukhamedovich presented diplomas and gifts to the winners and prize-winners of the “Wonderful Lace” competition.

The third prize was taken by Mukhamed Khamukov, MKOU “Secondary School No. 32” Nalchik; Liana Shipsheva, Municipal Budgetary Educational Institution “Secondary School No. 33” Nalchik; Dilana Abrokova, MKU Before «DSHI No. 2» Nalchik; Amirkhan Sozaev MCOU «Secondary School No. 15» Nalchik; Alina Berezgova MCOU «Central Center «Success».

Second place was shared by Milena Bugova, Municipal Municipal Educational Institution “Secondary School No. 6” Nalchik; Munira Kataeva, Municipal Municipal Educational Institution “Secondary School No. 11” Nalchik; Zamira Gucheva, College of Culture and Arts of the North Caucasian State Institute of Arts.

The winners of the competition were Daniza Kashirgova, Municipal Educational Institution “Secondary School No. 3” Nalchik; Jamilya Khulamkhanova, Municipal Municipal Educational Institution “Secondary School No. 8” Nalchik; Bela Asanova, IPPiFSO KBSU.

The distinguished participants in the nomination “High technical level of work and academicism”, as well as “Russian oral folk art — a source of wisdom and inspiration” were congratulated by the director of the social and humanitarian institute of KBSU, Muslim Tamazov.

The winners in the “Revived Fairy Tale” nomination received certificates and gifts from the hands of the head of the department for pre-university preparation and career guidance at KBSU, Albina Vindizheva.

In the category “Beauty of the Native Land” the children were awarded by the Deputy Director of the SGI KBSU for educational and career guidance Aneja Kushkhova.

Director of the KBROO «Birds of Happiness», researcher at the museum «Pushkin’s House in the Caucasus» Pyatigorsk, writer, official representative of the international charitable creative assembly “Slavic Traditions” in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, Natalya Boyko, presented certificates and gifts to the winners in the nomination “Reverent attitude towards the cultural heritage of Russia.”

Head of the Department of Russian Language and General Linguistics at KBSU, Professor Svetlana Bashieva, concluding the celebration, noted:

“It makes me very happy that we have so many talented children. I am sure that the future of our republic, our university depends on you. Today you have learned a little about the history of our university. From here, from the hall where you are, students and teachers went to the front. Party meetings, various conferences and meetings were held here.
Today I would like to donate to the libraries of some schools where KBSU graduates — front-line soldiers — worked, the book “The Immortal Regiment of KBSU,” which includes 530 names of participants in the Great Patriotic War from among the students and teachers of our university. The book consists of two parts. The first part contains the names of those who laid down their lives on the battlefields, and the second part talks about those who returned home with Victory.”

The book “The Immortal Regiment of KBSU” has replenished the library collection of the MKOU “Secondary School No. 6” in the city. Nalchik, MKOU «Secondary School No. 15» Nalchik, MKOU «Secondary School No. 10» Nalchik.
