Who was entrusted to read the oath of a KBSU student? The traditional initiation ceremony

September 22 at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov hosted a bright student holiday for freshmen — the so-called “dedicated”, or traditional dedication to students, organized by the department for youth policy of the university. Sergey Shagin, Head of the Department of Scientific Research and Innovation at KBSU, congratulated the newly minted students on this significant event:

«You have become part of our large KBSU family. Your main task is to learn, to absorb new knowledge like a sponge, so that later you can make a meaningful choice of your further professional path. Good luck to you!»

For the solemn ceremony of dedication to the stage of the hall of the Center of Culture named after H.S. Temirkanov, freshmen representing all educational departments of the university came out: the Social and Humanitarian Institute, the Institute of Law, Economics and Finance, the Institute of Pedagogy, Psychology and Sports Education, the Institute of Informatics, Electronics and Robotics, the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies, Faculty of Medicine, Institute of Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery, Institute of Chemistry and Biology, Institute of Physics and Mathematics, Institute of Architecture, Construction and Design, College of Medicine, College of Information Technology and Economics, College of Education, College of Design. Then the guys in unison uttered the oath of the freshman:

«We, joining the ranks of the students of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov, we solemnly promise: to study conscientiously; acquire knowledge; respect and preserve the good traditions that have developed at the university; strictly observe discipline and order at the university; treat teachers with respect; always be a good example for the youth of the republic; provide assistance to comrades. We promise to give all the knowledge and strength gained at KBSU for the benefit of the prosperity of our native republic and country. We swear, we swear, we swear.»

With a parting word to the students addressed the acting. Murat Gukepshokov, Vice-Rector for Personnel and Organizational and Legal Affairs: I assure you that together we will go through a wonderful and fruitful path. Study hard, be active in your studies, sports, science and social activities, and then student life will not disappoint you. It is at the university that you will find true friends for life. The culmination of the ceremony was the presentation of a large-scale copy of the student card to the first-year students as a symbol of the start of the student period in life. In honor of the new members of the large team of KBSU, the undergraduates prepared bright performances, setting a high standard, which later the younger comrades should adhere to. An indelible impression on the audience was made by the creative performances performed by the modern dance group «Crowd» under the direction of Laura Keshtova, student of the Institute of Chemistry and Chemistry Tembulat Nahushev, lezginka of the first-year student of KITiE Aslan Balov and his sister, student of IPEiF Karina Balova and others. And the evening ended, according to tradition, with the performance of the anthem of the KBSU «University».
