Where can go a student of KBSU under the program of youth and student tourism?
155 universities in 98 Russian cities take part in the Russian Youth and Student Tourism Program, which in 2022 has been noticeably improved both in functional and financial terms. In addition, it will now be possible to go on a trip not only in the summer, but also during the school year. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko.
“On behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Government continues to work to increase the availability of travel within the country for students. Last year, a pilot stage was implemented, which showed the demand for such trips. This year we decided to expand the program. Now university students of all forms of education, young scientists, graduate students and residents participating in research activities, as well as schoolchildren who are winners of the all-Russian competition «Big Change» can take part in it. Employed youth up to 35 years old, finalists, activists and participants in competitions of the platform of the ANO «Russia — Land of Opportunities» will also be able to travel under the youth and student tourism program.
According to preliminary calculations, more than 10 thousand young people will take advantage of the program. Over 450 author’s tourist products, events and various cultural and educational programs have been developed for them,” said Dmitry Chernyshenko. As part of the program, young people will be able to travel around the regions and stay on campuses and university dormitories at affordable prices. Program participants are given a choice of three options for directions: popular science tourism — trips for the purpose of professional development, internships in industries, participation in scientific events, writing scientific papers; vocational tourism — trips for short-term immersion in specialties of interest, changing the direction of study, specialization, acquiring new skills and competencies; cultural, educational and recreational tourism — trips for the purpose of cultural and personal development. The Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov noted the successful experience of the pilot stage of the Youth and Student Tourism Program in 2021, which was attended by more than 600 students of Russian universities. “This year, the campuses of the best universities in the country will open their doors to those young people who come to participate in scientific events, research activities, use the research infrastructure of universities, undergo internships in industries, as well as master new additional professions or competencies. The geography of the program covered all the federal districts of Russia. Universities from 98 cities, from Vladivostok to Kaliningrad, participate in it.
Unique tourist programs were offered in Gorno-Altaisk, Kurgan, Grozny, Moscow, Sevastopol, Petrozavodsk, Kazan. 155 leading Russian universities, including Moscow State University, National Research University Higher School of Economics, MGIMO, RANEPA, FEFU, KFU and others, have joined the studenttourism.rf digital platform,” added Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia. The program provides for both group trips as an encouragement from the university, and individual trips. In order to develop the project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, the best practices in the field of youth tourism in Russia are also being integrated, including in conjunction with the “More than a Journey” project.
All relevant information on travel destinations and accommodation will be available on a special digital platform studenttourism.rf. There, users will be able to book places in hostels and choose a suitable thematic offer. Recall that last year the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia implemented a pilot stage of the student tourism program. 21 universities took part, 170 events were developed for the children as part of the cultural and educational tourism program.
