Volunteer of the year was chosen at KBSU

December 12 at Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh. M. Berbekov summed up the results of the competition “KBSU Volunteer of the Year – 2023”, dedicated to International Volunteer Day.

It should be noted that the KBSU Volunteer Center unites over 2,000 volunteers and successfully carries out its work in many areas: medical volunteers; social volunteering; volunteering in the cultural and creative sphere; sports volunteering; volunteer translators; Victory volunteers; environmental volunteers; inclusive volunteering; event volunteering; educational volunteering; media volunteering; volunteering in emergency situations. The center’s volunteers take an active part in regional, national and international events and projects. The Volunteer Center of KBSU is a member of the Association of Volunteer Centers of Russia and works closely with the Resource Center for the Development of Volunteering in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic.

The deputy addressed greetings to the most empathic people of the university. Head of the Department for Youth Policy and Educational Work of KBSU Rezuan Kumykov:

“Volunteers play an important role in the life of not only the university, but our entire country. KBSU volunteers are a true example of kindness, humanity and selflessness. Thank you for your work. May all your good deeds be rewarded. And may goodness return to you a hundredfold.”
Leading specialist of the department for the development of student mass sports and tourism of KBSU Iskhak Murachaev, himself an experienced volunteer, noted that volunteers improve our lives, selflessly help people and our smaller brothers, and in return receive kind words and happy smiles, and wished the guys to be volunteers before everything for your loved ones, friends and others.

Then the most active members of the KBSU Volunteer Center were honored. More than 50 people received gratitude for their contribution to KBSU volunteer activities from the head of the university’s volunteers, Alim Bzhikhov.

As part of the celebration, the results of the Volunteer of the Year 2023 competition were announced. The most active volunteers from among KBSU students reached the finals of the competition: Muhammad Ibragimov, Aslan Khamukov, Elina Alikhanova, Astemir Makoev, Amin Sokurov, Islam Kudaev and Azamat Anaev. All of them received certificates as finalists of the competition and valuable prizes.

Amin Sokurov and Islam Kudaev won in the “Discovery of the Year” nomination.

Elina Alikhanova took second place. Well, Azamat Anaev was announced as a KBSU volunteer of the year 2023.

In honor of the KBSU volunteers, Asker Nebezhev, Magomed Chemaev, Leila Zhamgurazova and the KVN team “Men” presented creative performances.

The evening ended with a collective performance of the anthem by KBSU volunteers.
