Together against terror: KBSU took part in the republican rally
Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh. M. Berbekov joined the republican rally dedicated to the Day of Solidarity in the Fight against Terrorism. Hundreds of students and teachers of KBSU honored the memory of the victims of terror and expressed support for the affected families.
The Day of Solidarity in the Fight against Terrorism was established in memory of the tragedy in Beslan in 2004. Then, as a result of the attack on school No. 1, 334 hostages died, including 186 children.
Representatives of government bodies and public associations, employees of enterprises and organizations, students and schoolchildren took part in the anti-terrorist action, which took place in Nalchik on the square in front of the State Concert Hall.
The clergy — the first deputy chairman of the spiritual administration of Muslims of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, Qadi Khyzyr Misirov and the dean of the Nalchik district, Pyatigorsk and Cherkessk diocese Valentin Bobylev held a ceremony of remembrance for the victims.
The deputy chairman of the regional branch of the «Movement of the First» Azamat Zabakov, a veteran of military operations, a participant in a special military operation, a member of the council under the Head of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic for the preservation and strengthening of traditional Russian spiritual and moral values, social coordinator of the branch of the «Defenders of the Fatherland» foundation in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic Akhmed Pshikhachev, the head of the Kabardino-Balkarian regional public organization «Society of Russian History and Culture «Veche» Roman Litvinov, a member of the Public Chamber of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic Aslan Mazukabzov made calls for unity. They emphasized the importance of preserving the memory of the victims of terror.
The rally ended with the adoption of a resolution sent to the media of the republic, in which the participants expressed solidarity in the fight against terrorism. They called on society to unite for the sake of peace and the future of Kabardino-Balkaria and the entire country, and also expressed support for the participants of the special military operation and wished them a speedy return.
