The position of inclusive education in the republic was discussed at KBSU
The issues related to the state, problems and prospects of inclusive education in the republic were discussed at the Institute of Pedagogy, Psychology and Physical Culture and Sports Education of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov.
The chairperson of the Kabardino-Balkarian regional branch of the All-Russian Organization of parents of disabled children Marina Bozieva told students majoring in Clinical Psychology about the problems that they often encounter in their work.
According to her, the development of inclusive education allows parents today to choose a form of joint education for their child with healthy peers. However, the increase in the number of such children and the tendency for the health condition to worsen within this category have exacerbated the problem of personnel for inclusive education.
The republic is experiencing a shortage of psychologists, speech therapists, defectologists, tutors who would speed up the process of adaptation and socialization of a child with disabilities.
KBSU is currently actively training such highly specialized specialists, which has become a significant help in solving this problem.
Director of the Institute of Pedagogy, Psychology and Physical Culture and Sports Education Olga Mikhaylenko expressed confidence that through joint efforts it is possible to achieve significant development of the inclusive education system of Kabardino-Balkaria.
It is necessary to exchange experiences, strive to create an inclusive space where every child can develop and grow in an atmosphere of love and understanding,
— the head of the Institute of Pedagogy, Psychology and Physical Culture and Sports Education emphasized.
The coordinator of the “Education” direction of the RO Zulya Dzhankishieva and the head of the rehabilitation center for disabled children “Rassvet” Liliya Kardanova also expressed their vision at the meeting.
