The Parliament of the KBR listened to the proposals of the employees of the KBSU on the development of the tourism industry

An expanded meeting of the Committee of the Parliament of the KBR on Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism was held, during which the topic of training highly qualified specialists in the field of tourism, service and hospitality in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic was discussed on the issue of «Training highly qualified specialists in the field of tourism, service and hospitality in the KBR» .

Representative of the Head and Government of the KBR in the Parliament of the KBR and the judiciary Madina Dyshekova, deputies of the legislative body of the republic, heads and employees of relevant ministries, departments, educational organizations took part in its work.

The participants were greeted by the chairman of the profile committee Arsen Baragunov. Noting the relevance of the issue under discussion, he emphasized that the country is experiencing an active development of domestic and inbound tourism, due to which the huge recreational potential of Kabardino-Balkaria is revealed — the tourist flow to the republic is increasing every year:

Work is underway to attract investment in the construction and reconstruction of tourism infrastructure facilities, work continues on the reconstruction and construction of tourism facilities. However, we all understand that we cannot stop there, because the modern tourist is very active, sociable and at the same time demanding. An important task for all levels of government in Kabardino-Balkaria is the further development of the tourism sector, providing quality, affordable, competitive, and most importantly, safe recreation for tourists. Achieving serious economic and image results is possible only through joint efforts, it is necessary to simultaneously develop all the basic components: infrastructure, quality of service, promotion of the tourist product, security and much more.

With detailed information on the topic under discussion, acting. Director of the Institute of Management, Tourism and Hospitality Industry of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov Ramazan Ligidov, head of the main professional educational program in the direction of training «Tourism» qualification bachelor and master, doctor of economic sciences, professor of the department «Commodity science, tourism and law» of the Kabardino-Balkarian State Agrarian University named after V.M. Kokov Irina Dzakhmisheva. In their reports, they spoke about the specialized areas of training in their universities, ways to increase the prestige of tourism professions, further employment, the introduction of modern technologies into the learning process, the experience of other regions, etc.

Aslanbi Shkhagapsoev, Deputy Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the KBR, presented his vision on the issue under discussion.

During the meeting, the participants exchanged views and discussed a wide range of issues and problems related to the training of specialists, increasing targeted and budgetary places for applicants, developing new areas of tourism, the possible introduction of a tourist tax, the need to train highly qualified guides, the quality of food at catering points, the level training of service personnel, etc.
