The number of English language lovers is growing at KBSU

270 students of secondary vocational education and higher education of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H. M. Berbekov on May 18-19 took part in the traditional Olympiad in English, organized by the Department of Foreign Languages ​​of the university. This year it was timed to coincide with the Year of Science and Technology.

The Olympics were held in two stages. The first round included a written assignment on text comprehension, vocabulary and grammar of the English language. It is gratifying that two-thirds of the participants coped with this task with fairly high rates, and 33 participants advanced to the final round with almost one hundred percent result. In the second round, students had the opportunity to demonstrate not only knowledge of the language, but also their creative abilities.

According to the results of the Olympiad, the 3rd place was shared by students Saida Guzoeva (1st year «Psychology»), Maryana Masaeva (1st year «Pediatrics»), Kantemir Zhigunov (1st year PM and I), 2nd place took the 1st year student of the direction «Applied Mathematics and Informatics» Eldar Sheretlokov, and the 1st year student of the direction «Applied Mathematics and Informatics» Safar Kardanov became the winner.

The best contestants were awarded with certificates and valuable gifts.
