The most gifted students of the year showed their talents at KBSU’s competition “Vivat, student!”
An uncompromising struggle from the first to the last second for the title of best student of the outgoing year took place on December 7 at one of the brightest and most anticipated at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh. M. Berbekov show competitions — “Vivat, student 2023!” This time the theme of the creative competition is “The Future”.
Once again, the Alexander Sokurov Cinema and Concert Hall is completely sold out — students from all structural divisions of the university have gathered to choose the most witty, talented, charismatic and future-oriented student.
Dozens of university students dared to compete for this title, but only nine participants passed the rigorous creative selection: Safiya Didigova (Institute of Chemistry and Biology), Aida Akkieva (Institute of Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery), Damir Khabalov (Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies), Dayana Vorokova (Institute of Law of Economics and Finance, Ekaterina Baeva (Institute of Pedagogy, Psychology and Physical Education and Sports Education), Eldar Kudaev (College of Information Technologies and Economics), Astemir Daurov (Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies), Nikita Lukichev (Pedagogical College of the Institute pedagogy, psychology and physical culture and sports education), Magomed Chemaev (social and humanitarian institute).
They were given two months to prepare creative performances, make a fantastic video business card, unite their creative team and have a psychological attitude to win. And it was worth it, at stake — to go down in the history of KBSU as a person of the future.
From the very first seconds of the participants’ thematic appearance, it became clear that there would be something unusual and exciting. And they were completely immersed in the atmosphere of fantastic events by the video cards that the participants made together with the talented director and videographer — KBSU graduate Diana Shogenova.
It was very, very difficult for the contestants at the “Improvisation” stage, who stand in the heat of passion between the reality shows “Fear Factor” and “The Last Hero”. The participants were randomly divided into three teams and given the task: within five minutes, come up with a story with witty dialogues and actions, and for silence for 5 seconds, the players were punished by a shot from a toy air gun in the “loin” part of the body, and for 5 seconds of inaction — penalty points. Thanks to this one competitive stage, it became clear how to select numbers and participants for KVN, so the guys tried.
And, of course, the most long-awaited and impressive part of the show was the “Creative Number”, each of which looked like a separate bright performance from the future, with a plot thread connected to a fantastic video card and the thematic idea of the competition. It was difficult to tell from the guys’ performances whether they were ordinary KBSU students or renowned graduates of the Academy of Theater Arts. That’s why the performance of Alla Dukhova’s show ballet in Nalchik was canceled — “Todes” was afraid of competition.
The costumes of the participants, organizers and presenters of the show competition, made by the finalists of the All-Russian Student Spring 2023 — students of the Institute of Architecture, Construction and Design of KBSU Darina Psunokova and Mariam Hovhannisyan, were completely consistent with the theme of the competition.
“Since the first show competition “Vivat, student!” was held at KBSU, many different forms and formats of creative tests have been tried, “Vivat” is changing all the time, as are its participants. Each generation of students is different from the previous one, and we wanted to take a look at how current students see the future,” noted Maryana Varitlova, chairman of the KBSU student council. – The purpose of the creative tests of our competition is to identify and develop the creative potential of students, to develop their communication and team-building skills, because here it is not nine students who compete individually, but nine large creative teams, each of which supports its competitor from the stage of planning the performance to the final. And here I want to say a big thank you to all our volunteers who were on stage, helping behind the scenes and in the hall, they are all great fellows, as well as our participants.”
Judging the quality of all this splendor was entrusted to a competent jury, which included a dancer, choreographer, winner of various All-Russian championships, participant in such popular TV projects as “Minute of Fame”, “Dancing on TNT”, “I Dance Revolution” Georgy Kokoev , Head of the Department of Choreography at the College of Cultural Arts, Head of the choreographic ensemble “Gloria” — Diana Kartseva, Deputy Director and Director of the Balkar Drama Theater named after. K. Kulieva, teacher of North Caucasus State Institute of Arts Aubekir Miziev, author-producer of large-scale show competitions — “Miss KBSU” and “Mister KBSU”, deputy director of the KBSU campus Belina Aloeva, specialist of the support center for student associations, youth programs and projects of UMPiVR KBSU — Dayana Lieva.
The only decision that was made without their approval was the “Audience Award.” Based on the results of voting on the university’s official social networks, it was awarded to 3rd year IPEiF student Dayana Vorokova.
Well, the winner of the show-competition “Vivat, student 2023” was the 1st year resident at the Institute of Chest and Pediatrics, Aida Akkieva.
In the finale, each participant in the show received gifts from sponsors, and the audience received a lot of positive emotions, energizing and foreshadowing a good future.
