The «Memory Garden» was planted at KBSU in honor of Russia Day
On the eve of Russia Day, students and staff of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov took part in landscaping the university territory. The «Memory Garden» campaign was held at two sites at once: near the new student center «Altair» and opposite the main building of the university.
The goal of the event was not only to improve the territory, but also to create a symbolic space dedicated to the memory of the country’s heroes.
Representatives of youth and student organizations of the university joined the campaign: the student trade union committee, the center for civic-patriotic education, the primary branch of the «Movement of the First», student clubs, creative groups, the coordination center, volunteers and environmentalists.
A total of 19 young deciduous trees were planted: maples, lindens and birches. The seedlings were purchased in a Krasnodar nursery.
The organizers plan to register the “Garden of Memory” on the official website of the event so that it becomes part of the all-Russian movement.
