The KBSU Team’s Success at the VI International Student Olympiad «Samarkand-2025»

The team from the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov successfully competed in the VI International Student Olympiad «Samarkand-2025.» More than 1,100 students from 64 leading medical universities from Russia, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Germany, and other countries gathered at the Samarkand State Medical University to test their skills in 44 medical disciplines.

The Olympiad consisted of two stages: a computer-based test and an oral exam, which included answering a theoretical question, solving a situational problem, and demonstrating practical skills.

Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh. M. Berbekov Berbekov was represented with distinction at the competition by the Elbrus team, led by Professor Ismail Miziev, Director of the Medical Academy, and Professor Magomet Mustafayev, Director of the Institute of Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Results of the KBSU team’s participation:

Kamilla Dzhafarova, a sixth-year student at the Medical Academy (major in General Medicine), won in the «Obstetrics and Gynecology» category;
Alan Ketukov, a second-year student at the Medical Academy (major in General Medicine), took second place in the «Human Anatomy» category;
Aida Attoeva, a second-year student at the Medical Academy (major in General Medicine), won in the «History of Medicine. Bioethics» category;
Darina Odizheva, a fourth-year student at the Medical Academy (major in General Medicine), took second place in the Pharmacology category;
Salima Dzhandarova, a fifth-year student at the Institute of Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery (major in Dentistry), took second place in the Pediatric Dentistry category;
Satanei Khokonova, a fourth-year student at the Institute of Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery (major in Dentistry), took first place in the Surgical Dentistry category;
