The KBSU library joined the All-Russian campaign «Running Book»!

Release date: 05.06.2025

The library of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov (KBSU) celebrated the spring stage of the All-Russian socio-cultural campaign «Running Book» with an intellectual race. This event brought together tens of thousands of representatives of the library community and reading enthusiasts across the country.

«Running Book» is an unusual format that combines sports, education and popularization of reading. Librarians and activists communicated with people in an informal setting, tested their erudition and reminded them of the wealth of library resources. The main goals of the campaign remain unchanged — to raise the prestige of libraries and promote intellectual development, strengthening Russia’s status as the most reading country.

The spring race was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Representatives of the university community were asked questions about books and reading preferences, as well as about the history of Russia. Particular attention was paid to the theme of the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945).

Not only active students joined the intellectual race, but also their mentors — teachers, as well as representatives of the university administration. Vice-rector Murat Gukepshokov read poems from his favorite work.

All survey participants were given colorful booklets reflecting information about the information resources of the KBSU library. The next race awaits everyone on September 1, on Knowledge Day.
