The Kafa Folk Dance Ensemble of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University is the Winner of the Friendship Constellation Competition

The Kafa folk dance ensemble of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov won first place in two nominations of the IX International Friendship Constellation Competition. The project was organized by the Caucasian Representative Office of the World Artistic Committee with the assistance of the Assembly of the Peoples of Russia and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

The competition was held in Nalchik from October 27 to 30. More than 600 performers from Moscow, the Moscow Region and Sochi, Dagestan and Adygea, North Ossetia-Alania and Volgograd took part in the creative competition. Young talents competed in various types of art: vocal, instrumental, declamatory and visual, as well as choreography.

The KBSU folk dance ensemble «Kafa» became the best in the nominations «Adyghe princely dance» and «Pair Islamey».
