The importance of patriotic education of students was discussed at the Academic Council of KBSU
March 22, 2024 at Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov held a regular meeting of the academic council of the university under the chairmanship of the acting rector professor Yuri Altudov.
Before the discussion of the agenda began, the head of the university performed a pleasant mission — he presented letters of gratitude from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation for the implementation of the “University Shifts” project in 2023 to the director of the center for additional general development programs of UMPiVR Milana Tliashinova, the former head of the department for youth policy and educational work Khyzyr Mashukov . A similar letter was addressed to the acting Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Social Issues Sultan Gekkiev.
Also, gratitude from the Association of Antimonopoly Experts for the university’s great contribution to the effective implementation of the course “Fundamentals of Antimonopoly Regulation in Russia” was received by acting. Rector of KBSU.
As part of the agenda, the scientific secretary of KBSU, Irina Ashinova, presented for consideration by the academic council of the university the candidates nominated by the certification commissions and academic councils of educational departments for the competition to fill the position of head of the department.
By the decision of the academic council of the university, Rashid Alikaev was approved for the position of head. Department of German and Romance Philology of SHI, Svetlana Bashieva – head of Department of Russian Language and General Linguistics, Mussa Ketenchiev – head of Department of Karachay-Balkarian Philology of SHI, Robert Kochesokov – head of Department of Philosophy of SHI, Hasbi Kushkhov – head of Department of Inorganic and Physical Chemistry of Institute of Chemical Biology, Andemirkan Shidov – head of Department of Economics and Accounting and Analytical Information Systems of IPEiF.
The head of the department for youth policy and educational work of the university, Oleg Balov, made a report on the implementation of the program of patriotic education of KBSU students for 2021–2025.
“The work on patriotic education at KBSU is implemented in the interaction of structural divisions and youth public associations of the university, which also take an active part in the civic and patriotic education of students. Over the three years of the program’s implementation, more than 110 events were held with a total coverage of 22,700 people,”
– noted Oleg Balov.
Among them, the head of the UMPiVR named curatorial hours, round tables and seminars on the topics of tolerance, interethnic and interfaith relations with the involvement of specialists in the field of history, culture and religion; sports and patriotic events with the participation of KBSU employees and students, including military and sports training; passing GTO standards; a series of film screenings of Soviet and Russian films dedicated to the Second World War of 1941–1945; measures to implement a set of measures to strengthen interethnic and interfaith harmony among students; formation in students of civic feelings and respect for the state symbols of the Russian Federation, Kabardino-Balkaria and Kabardino-Balkarian State University (anthem, coat of arms, flag): performance of anthems on memorable holidays and special days, etc.
Among the main tasks for the patriotic education of KBSU students for 2024, Oleg Balov highlighted the following: increasing the number of students involved in the activities of patriotic clubs; organizing a summer student camp for sports, defense or military sports; strengthening and increasing the efficiency of the system of interaction between the university and social partners in solving the problems of patriotic education; creation of an effective system of rewards for the organization and conscious participation of teachers, students and university staff in patriotic events on an all-Russian, regional and local scale; increasing the number of events aimed at popularizing the history of the fatherland; involving schoolchildren in patriotic events in order to create continuity between generations; development of scientific and methodological support for the system of patriotic education of citizens.
On reducing the cost of paid services under the education agreement to 100% for the 2023–2024 academic year in accordance with clause 3.15.6. The provisions on the provision of paid educational services at KBSU to students belonging to the category of children of persons taking or taking part in SVO were reported by the acting. the first vice-rector of KBSU — vice-rector for academic affairs Vadim Lesev.
The Academic Council approved the rules for admission to higher education educational programs — residency programs at KBSU; changes in the Regulations on the rating assessment of the activities of KBSU employees in terms of payment for publications in journals from the list of scientific publications not indexed in WOS databases. Scopus and RSCI (journals K-1 and K-2); changes in the Regulations on remuneration of university employees.
