The highest mountain tricolor was unfurled by participants of the «University Shifts» of KBSU from the DPR

The participants of the «University Shifts» of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov celebrated the Day of the Russian State Flag with a large-scale patriotic action. About 140 schoolchildren from the Donetsk People’s Republic, together with their curators and mentors, made a trip to the foot of Elbrus, where they unfurled the tricolor at an altitude of almost 2000 meters.

The action is intended to emphasize unity and civic position, the organizers of the «University Shifts» are confident that the flash mob will become the central event of the program of the stream, because the children got acquainted with the nature of the Caucasus and became part of the all-Russian holiday.

«Our tricolor is a symbol of the unity of the country. White symbolizes purity, peace and perfection. Blue — loyalty, constancy and honesty. And red is energy, strength, courage and blood spilled for the Fatherland,” — reminded Saniyat Metova, one of the curators of the shift.

In honor of the Day of the Russian Flag, schoolchildren shared their wishes.

“This day is special for us, because we have achieved the right to be together with Russia. Let the Russian flag continue to proudly fly, inspiring achievements and strengthening love for the Motherland.”

“Let our flag become an eternal symbol of the noble goals that Russia strives for, and a source of inspiration for our further development.”
The celebration of the Day of the National Flag continued with patriotic quizzes, lectures and a poster competition.
