The Hermitage-Caucasus Cultural and Educational Center of KBSU continues to conduct scientific research in the field of archeology
Astemir Guchaev and Beslan Makoev, researchers at the Hermitage-Caucasus Cultural and Educational Center of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov, based on preliminary research and collected archival materials, received open sheets from the Russian Ministry of Culture for the right to conduct official archaeological research on two cultural heritage sites of the KBR.
Work has now begun on the burial mound located in the Alexandrovka microdistrict in Nalchik. According to preliminary data, this object belongs to the Maykop culture and dates back to the 3rd millennium BC.
Second-year students of the History program at the SGI KBSU are involved in archaeological research. Students are introduced to both traditional methods of archaeological research and new digital technologies used in «digital archeology».
Based on the results of the scientific research, reports and a press conference will be held at the Hermitage-Caucasus center.
