The General Director of the State Hermitage visited Nalchik on a working visit

On September 24th, general director of the State Hermitage Museum Mikhail Borisovich Piotrovsky paid a short business visit to Nalchik. The guest of honor was received by the rector of KBSU Yuri Kambulatovich Altudov and the director of the «Hermitage-Caucasus» center Albert Aleksandrovich Saralp.

Mikhail Borisovich discussed with Yuri Kambulatovich the state of affairs on the creation of the cultural and educational center of the KBSU «Hermitage-Caucasus» and assessed the readiness to hold the «Days of the Hermitage in the North Caucasus», which are planned to be held in parallel with the celebrations dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov, from 12 to 14 October.

Piotrovsky M.B. once again confirmed the strong interest of the country’s leadership and the federal authorities in the speedy implementation of this landmark project for the entire Caucasus and thanked the leadership of KBSU for the implementation of all previously adopted agreements between the State Hermitage Museum and the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov.
