The first decade of the admission campaign at KBSU — top destinations

On the results of the first days of the admission campaign in 2022 at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H. M. Berbekov was told by Timur Tabishev, head of the reception organization department, executive secretary of the KBSU admissions committee:
«Documents were traditionally accepted from June 20th. In the first week, as a rule, either graduates of secondary educational institutions who did not enter last year, but they have USE results, or 9th grade graduates who want to enter KBSU colleges come to us. The bulk of school graduates begin to apply from June 25, after receiving certificates. As of June 29, 700 applicants submitted documents in person and in absentia, including through the Step Online super service.»

To the question of the correspondent of the press service of the KBSU: how many budget places were allocated in 2022 by the founder of the university — the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, — the head of the department for organizing admissions answered:

«This year we have an unprecedented number of budget places — 2,525 — for all levels of professional education, of which 870 are in secondary vocational education programs, 991 are in bachelor’s and specialist’s programs, and more than 450 are in master’s programs. Compared to last year, the number of state-funded places has increased by more than 600. An increase in almost every structural unit. I would like to note that just a week ago we received 115 additional places in master’s programs in priority areas of scientific and technological development of the Russian Federation: engineering and pedagogical areas of training, namely «Informatics and Computer Science», «Applied Mathematics and Informatics», «Physics» etc».

Speaking about the top areas of study for the first days of the admission campaign — 2022, Timur Tabishev noted that these include «General Medicine», «Pediatrics», «Dentistry», «Economics» and «Jurisprudence», «Architecture», «Design», » Decorative and applied arts”, “Construction”, “Journalism”. Over the past few years, the prestige and demand for training areas related to information technology has increased. Therefore, the allocation of the structural unit «Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies» within the university played an important role and now more applicants will enter KBSU specifically in the field of IT technologies, — Timur Tabishev is sure.
