The Day of Unity of Russian and Belarus people was celebrated at KBSU
For the citizens of Belarus and Russia, a special date is the Day of Unity of the Peoples of the two countries. In honor of this holiday, the scientific and educational center of the Russian language and culture of the Kabardino-Balkarian University named after H.M. Berbekov held a traditional teleconference with the Brest State University named after. A. S. Pushkin, with whom the university has long established friendly relations.
Pavel Sidoruk, Chairman of the Council of the Kabardino-Balkarian Public Movement “For the Unity of Syabry”, opening the meeting, reminded the students of both universities how the holiday appeared:
On April 2, 1996, an agreement “On the Formation of the Community of Russia and Belarus” was signed. The terms of the agreement provide for the strengthening of relations of brotherhood, friendship and cooperation in the political, economic, social, humanitarian, scientific, technical and other fields. Since then, the date has become a landmark for the peoples of the two countries and is celebrated at the state level both in Russia and in the Republic of Belarus.
Words of gratitude to the dean of the philological faculty of the Brest State University named after A. S. Pushkin Tatyana Senkevich for many years of friendship between the Department of the Russian Language and General Linguistics of the KBSU and the Department of the Russian Language of the BrGU named after A.S. Pushkin was addressed by Nadezhda Chaika, head of the Russian Language Research and Education Center and KBSU.
I would like to emphasize that, in the person of Tatyana Vasilievna, Brest University is actively involved in the activities of the department, in particular, in the International Summer School «The roots of friendship between our peoples are in our history» and many others,

Belarusian language teacher at KBSU, chief specialist of the department of general education of the Department of Education of Nalchik Valentina Sereda addressed the twins in their native language with the wishes of peace, prosperity and prosperity. She also said that she teaches the Belarusian language as a kindred Slavic language to philology students of KBSU in the direction of study «Russian Language and Literature».
The knowledge of the «Belarusian language» was demonstrated by the third-year students of the Social and Humanitarian Institute of the KBSU Alina Kuzamysheva, Irina Dakahova, Fatimat Nogerova, Kamilla Ibragimova, Milena Korigova, Irina Hubieva, Milana Karachayeva, Maria Tabuhova, who read poems about love for their native language, about the beauty of their native land and its inimitable nature.
The girls also showed good knowledge of Belarusian proverbs and sayings. Foreign students of KBSU Pamela Jima (Benin), Obo Ev (Congo), Lisette Kossongo, who were present at the meeting, read poems in Russian about friendship, the dearest person in the world — mother. A student from Syria, Nasr Qamar, sang the famous song “Talk to me, mother,” and Torquay Mohamed from Egypt surprised Belarusians with a sincere performance of the song “Olesya”.
In response, students of the BrSU named after A.S. Pushkin, as a gift to their peers from KBSU, prepared a small concert program. They also presented a social project aimed at popularizing Belarusian folklore in the urban environment. To do this, the authors of the project propose to place on the facades of buildings, on public transport, in parks and squares the statements of famous people about Belarus, quotes from the works of Belarusian authors, proverbs and sayings.
In conclusion, Nadezhda Chaika thanked all the participants of the online meeting for their indifference, bright performances, which became a real decoration of the festive evening.
