The book of the associate professor of KBSU received international recognition
The book by Aubekir Khatukhov, Associate Professor of the Department of Biology, Geoecology and Molecular Genetic Foundations of Living Systems, Institute of Chemistry and Biology, Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H. M. Berbekov, «Geophysics and Geochemistry of Landscape» was presented at the world’s largest 72nd International Book Exhibition-Presentation Frankfurter Buchmesse, held on October 20-24 in Frankfurt am Main (Germany). I received an invitation from the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (RAE), which officially represents Russia at the Frankfurt Book Fair, to send an electronic layout of my textbook «Geophysics and Geochemistry of Landscape», which was published at the publishing and printing center of KBSU in 2020. Soon the answer came:
“As part of the implementation of the decisions of the RAE Presidium to promote information support for scientists and teachers, as well as taking into account the relevance, scientific and pedagogical significance, your publication was selected for presentation and discussion at the Frankfurter Buchmesse, the world’s largest book exhibition held in a new format online 2021″. I was very pleased that my work was so highly appreciated, since the Frankfurt Book Fair is the most famous platform where scientific and educational publications from all over the world are demonstrated. It is very prestigious to be there, — shared Aubekir Mikhailovich. The teacher of KBSU also said that the need to publish such a textbook is ripe in connection with the introduction of a short course «Geophysics and Geochemistry of Landscape» into the curriculum in the direction of study «Biology».
«The purpose of the publication is to form a number of competencies among biology students with ecological specialization, related to theoretical and methodological principles and concepts of geophysics and geochemistry of the landscape, geophysical, geochemical and ecological features of the functioning of the landscape,» — the annotation says. Aubekir Khatukhov expressed gratitude to the head of the UNIID KBSU Sergey Shagin, the head of the editorial and publishing department of the KBSU Lidia Khakulova, the editor of the RIO KBSU Tamara Khanieva for assistance in publishing the textbook. At the end of the Frankfurter Buchmesse exhibition, the KBSU scientist received a certificate of participation in the Frankfurt Book Fair and a catalog with the published annotation of his book. Publishers, academics, academics, and agents gather every October to create something new. The Frankfurt Book Fair is the world’s most important platform for the promotion of books, science, the use of copyrights and obtaining licenses. The history of the Frankfurt Book Exhibition began more than 500 years ago, its foundation is associated with the pioneer printer Johannes Gutenberg, who lived in the city of Mainz, neighboring to Frankfurt. Then booksellers held the world’s first printed book fair here. Contemporary Frankfurt Book Fairs have been regularly held since 1949. The Scientific Publishing Center «Academy of Natural Sciences», being a permanent participant in the most significant international book exhibitions and forums, represented the Russian Federation at the 72nd Frankfurt Book Fair Frankfurter Buchmesse, which was held in digital format due to restrictions on public events. An expanded exposition of scientific and educational-methodical literature was presented at the stand of the Academy of Natural Sciences.
