Talents from Antares went on an excursion to KBSU
February 16, as part of the educational multidisciplinary session “Robotics. Chemistry. Chess” of the Regional Center for Identification and Support of Gifted Children “Antares”, students in the direction of “Robotics” visited museums and educational and scientific laboratories of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H. M. Berbekov. The guys came accompanied by Acting Deputy Director — Head of the Center for Continuing Education Tamara Aybazova at the invitation of the staff of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies of KBSU. Welcoming the young guests, Tatyana Khashirova, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Head of the Department of Computer Technologies and Information Security of the Institute of Computer Science and Technology of the KBSU, noted that the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after. H. M. Berbekov turns 90 in 2022, over the years the university has become the most authoritative research and educational center of the republic, the achievements of KBSU scientists are known not only in our country, but also abroad. It is rightfully considered the flagship in the education and science system in the region.

After the official part, the guys visited the Museum of the History of KBSU named after H. M. Berbekov, which presents an exposition that tells about all stages of the formation and development of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University, starting from the Pedagogical Institute in Pyatigorsk and ending with the modern KBSU — one of the largest universities in the North Caucasus. Schoolchildren listened with interest to the story of the Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Department of Pedagogical Education of the IPPiFSO Irina Ashinova about the first educators of the KBR, the first real school in Nalchik, the Leninsky educational campus, the opening of the Kabardino-Balkarian Pedagogical Institute in Pyatigorsk, its transfer to Nalchik, and then transformation into a university, about the activities of the four rectors of the university and about many achievements of KBSU. Then the candidate of biological sciences, associate professor of the department of biology, geoecology and molecular genetic foundations of living systems of the Institute of Chemistry and Biology Aubekir Khatukhov showed the guests interesting exhibits of his laboratory, «robotics» learned a lot about the flora and fauna of the KBR. And then the guys got acquainted with the work of the information security laboratory of the IIIiTsT and computer classes equipped with the latest technology.
