Success of students of IASiD KBSU in international competitions in drawing and painting
February 1–28, a group of students from the Institute of Architecture, Construction and Design of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H. M. Berbekov took part in distance international competitions in drawing and painting held in Ufa on the platform of the Center for Creative Development of Children and Professional Skills of Teachers «Perspective». All submitted competitive works of bachelors of creative directions «Architecture», «Design» and «Decorative and applied art» were awarded with diplomas of laureates of I, II and III degrees.
«In the process of training, students learn the basics of academic drawing and painting, make copies of works by famous artists, master all kinds of techniques and materials. As a result, honing their skills through color, line, shape or tone, everyone creates works that differ in their individual style and author’s handwriting. Several of these student educational and creative works were selected by us to participate in the projects of the Ufa «Perspective», — noted the mentors of talented students associate professor of the Department of Architectural Design, Design and DPI, Doctor of Art History Fatima Kanokova and senior lecturer of the Department of Architectural Design, Design and DPI Zalina Unezheva.
When evaluating the works of the contestants, the compositional solution, the observance of proportions, the ability to convey shape, color, texture, and emotional state were taken into account.
By the decision of the jury, «Decorative still life with flowers» and «Still life in the open air», performed by the 2nd year student of the direction «Design» Amina Kerefova, received two diplomas of the 1st degree laureate in the International competition «Educational still life from nature» in the nomination «Painting».
The works of two 3rd year students of the «Architecture» direction — «Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Tallinn», executed in the technique of monochrome painting, by Lina Pshitsukova and a replica of the work of D. Perrigo «Theater» by Azamat Amshokov were also awarded diplomas of the 1st degree laureate.
The II degree diploma was received by the work of the 1st year student of the direction «Architecture» Eleonora Kupova. In the nomination «Drawing» in the International competition «Academic drawing. Small Capital”, her educational work “Doric Small Capital” was presented.
The III degree diploma was awarded to the work of the 1st year student of the direction «Decorative and applied art» Alina Sarbasheva. In the category «Drawing» in the International competition «Educational still life from nature. Drawing «, her educational work» Autumn Still Life «was presented.
«Students and pupils of art schools from different regions of the Russian Federation took part in each nomination. It is gratifying that among such a number of works the experts noted the works of our students. This speaks not only of the high creative potential of the students, but also of the skill of the teachers, who, in turn, were awarded diplomas for their professionalism, active participation and preparation of the winners,» — commented the head of the department of architectural design, design and arts and crafts, candidate of technical sciences, associate professor Khazret Guketlov.
