Students of KBSU visited the Gorny Rodnik sanatorium
Students from the Institute of Management, Tourism, and Hospitality Industry (IMTIHI) of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov took part in a career guidance meeting at the Gorny Rodnik sanatorium, one of the republic’s leading health resorts.
«Such initiatives are part of the institute’s educational strategy, aimed at closely integrating academic knowledge with real-world professional practice,» noted Ramazan Ligidov, Director of the IMTHIHI of KBSU.
First- and second-year undergraduate students in Hotel Management visited the sanatorium together with Professor Irina Dzakhmisheva, Head of the Educational Program, and Senior Lecturer Zalina Attoeva.
Oleg Bezrokov, Director of the Gorny Rodnik Sanatorium, led the tour and business meeting. The students had a unique opportunity to explore the full service cycle: from welcoming and accommodating guests, through health and wellness treatments and catering, to excursion support and customer service. During the discussion with the sanatorium’s management and key specialists, they discussed current issues, including quality standards in the hospitality industry, management specifics in the resort industry, working with different client categories, and prospects for professional and career growth.
«The resort industry is a key economic sector in Kabardino-Balkaria, and familiarizing themselves with its realities is especially valuable for future specialists,» emphasized Ramazan Ligidov. «Our institute’s collaboration with companies like Gorny Rodnik is a continuation of our targeted efforts to prepare competitive graduates who are prepared for effective professional work from the very first day after graduation.»
