Students of KBSU tested their knowledge of spelling and punctuation of the English language
On November 30, 2022, about 100 students of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov of different areas of training took part in the All-Russian dictation in English, initiated by the Institute of International Relations in conjunction with the Department of Youth Policy of Kazan Federal University.
The purpose of the action is to motivate students to study foreign languages, increase literacy and the level of proficiency in the language norms of the English language. This year, the text, prepared by teachers from the Institute of International Relations of KFU, is dedicated to the development of the Internet, innovations and the introduction of digital technologies in various areas of life and consists of 300–400 words. Under the terms of the action, when writing a dictation, it is forbidden to carry reference materials, written notes and other means of storing and transmitting information.
It should be noted that the Department of Foreign Languages of KBSU has been joining the All-Russian dictation in English for the fifth year already.
«The results of the work every year please us more and more. If in the first years our students received only certificates of participation, then in the last two years we had winners who received certificates and gifts from Kazan Federal University», — commented Rita Kenetova, head of the Department of Foreign Languages of KBSU, emphasizing the increased interest of university students in participating in dictation .
The results of the All-Russian Dictation in English — 2022 will become known after December 21, they will be published on the website of Kazan University and on the official websites of the organizations-platforms of the project. Winners and prize-winners will receive electronic diplomas, and all others will receive electronic certificates of participation.
