Students of KBSU Absorb Laparascopic Surgery

On September 7, in the Republican Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Health of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, on the initiative of the Medical Faculty of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University, the scientific and practical conference «Modern Operative Endourology» and master classes on conducting laparoscopic operations were held.

Opening the forum in which the urologists and surgeons of the North Caucasus republics and the students of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University took part, Murat Mukov, chief doctor of the RCB, presented the experts of the conference — professors, doctors of medical sciences, honored doctors of the Russian Federation Alexei Martov and Eduard Gallyamov, thanks to its scientific and practical achievements in endourology.

Deputy Chairman of the Government of the KBR Vladimir Bolotokov noted that the forum is «a stroke in the overall picture» of strategic reforms in the republic:

«The healthcare sphere has always been a priority for the Kabardino-Balkarian republic, since the main value is human health and life. This year, a new surgical building of the republican clinical hospital was introduced, a new eight-story building of the city clinical hospital was introduced, 80% of the fleet of emergency medical services was updated, in just two years four gemodiales centers, fifty rural medical dispensaries and the most modern perinatal center were opened. The educational infrastructure of the medical faculty of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University is being modernized. And I want to note that this is only the beginning. The state national policy in the sphere of public health is being implemented,» — Vladimir Bolotokov said.

The scientific and practical program of the forum included master classes on percutaneous nephrolithotripsy, laparoscopic resection of the kidney, transurethral enucleation (within 6 hours the professors Martov and Gallyamov made 7 operations that were broadcast live on the Internet with comments from the leading urologists of the North Caucasus Federal District). At the plenary part of the conference, the scientific reports «Training in laparoscopy», «Choice of endoscopic treatment of BPH», «Tubulopathy and urolithiasis», «Results of surgical treatment» were discussed.
