Release date: 10.04.2023

Delegation of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov represents the university in the Republic of Uzbekistan at the leading regional exhibition «Education and Profession». Every year, internationally accredited higher education institutions from different countries become participants in a large-scale event organized by My Fair in partnership with the Agency for Youth Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Head of the department for pre-university training and career guidance of KBSU Aksana Karasheva and director of the Higher School of International Education of the university Vladimir Afaunov answer questions from potential applicants, talk about the benefits of studying at KBSU, the high quality of educational programs at all levels (bachelor’s, specialist’s, master’s, postgraduate, residency) , a wide range of specialties and areas of training that you can choose, and the conditions for admission to the largest university in Kabardino-Balkaria. This year, applicants from Uzbekistan can get acquainted with the proposals of KBSU in Tashkent (April 7-8) and Samarkand (April 10). The organizers of the exhibition plan to accept about 10,000 applicants in Tashkent and about 5,000 in other cities.

V. Afaunov said:

More than 2,200 foreign citizens from 44 countries of the world study at KBSU, including 50 students from Uzbekistan. Foreigners can be calm for a comfortable adaptation at the university and the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic — experienced curators and leaders of compatriots work with them. Shahzod Nematov, a future specialist in the field of jurisprudence, is the chairman of the student community of Uzbekistan. In addition, applicants can get acquainted with information about our university at a special stand, in handouts and video format. During the exhibition events in Tashkent, promising applicants and their parents showed a high interest in getting an education at KBSU, and we, in turn, conveyed to them information about the university, admission and study procedures, as well as the unique advantages of studying in our republic and the university. Now it’s Samarkand’s turn.

A. Karasheva explained:

Boys and girls from Uzbekistan can enter our university under the quota of the Government of the Russian Federation, for budget places within the admission control figures, as well as on a contract basis. Most often, applicants are interested in such areas as social and humanitarian, medical and IT technologies. Future students are also concerned about the provision of hostels and the availability of conditions and opportunities for extracurricular leisure. We confidently answer that everything is in order at KBSU.

For reference: Following the meeting of the Presidium of the Presidential Council for Strategic Development and Priority Projects on May 30, 2017, the passport of the priority project «Development of the export potential of the Russian education system» was approved (implementation period — November 2025). The implementation of the project is aimed at increasing the attractiveness of Russian educational programs for foreign citizens, improving the conditions for their stay during the period of study in Russia, as well as increasing the recognition and status of the «brand» of Russian education in the international educational market.
