Strengthening «The roots of friendship»
August 15 at the Cultural Center named after H. M. Temirkanov was opened International Summer School «The roots of the friendship of our peoples — in our history». The school is held for the third time with the financial support of the Russkiy Mir Foundation and will last until August 20.
This time the participants of the forum were students of KBSU, Brest State University. A.S. Pushkin, Tbilisi State University. I. Javakhishvili, South Kazakhstan State Pedagogical Institute, students of the literary studio «Candle» of the Children’s Academy of Creativity «Sunny City» of the KBR.
The guests of the university were greeted by the vice-rector of Kabardino-Balkarian State University for educational work and social issues Arthur Kazharov:
«The theme and purpose of this school is the development of friendly relations between peoples through the study of joint history and culture, very harmoniously fits into the concept of the university’s activity, striving to become the center of support for science, culture, interethnic harmony in the Caucasus region. Svetlana Bashieva, the head of the Department of Russian Language and General Linguistics at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University, thanked the guests from Georgia, Belarus and Kazakhstan for expressing their solidarity with the ideas of the meeting, and stressed that the work of the school will be eventful and interesting.
«The program of our work provides lectures on Russian language, literature, history, problems of interethnic tolerance, the evening of Russian poetry, essay contest, round tables on ethnocultural themes and youth policy, ethnographic holiday in one of the regions of the republic» Us unites the Russian language «. The opening ceremony of the International Summer School «The roots of the friendship of our peoples — in our history» was also attended and delivered by Professor Tbilisi State University named after I. Javakhishvili Joni Kvitsiani, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Brest State University named after A.S. Pushkin, associate professor of the Department of Russian Language and Literature Olga Kovalchuk, associate professor of the Department of Russian Language and Literature of the South Kazakhstan State Pedagogical Institute Ualikhan Abdyhanov, heads of republican national cultural centers «Veche», «Rioni» and representatives of youth organizations.
