Sports infrastructure and achievements of KBSU

The formation of a model of a new type of university is impossible without the creation and development of the innovative infrastructure of the university. Currently, at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov, special attention is paid to the creation of a favorable environment for sports activities.

The construction of sports facilities is a significant step towards strengthening the sports potential of KBSU. The infrastructure is expanding and improving, which allows maintaining a quality level of education. New complexes, buildings are created as needed, existing ones are being repaired.

In 2021, in KBSU, in the educational building No. 1, a major overhaul of the gymnasium was carried out, a redecoration of the large playing hall, in the educational building No. 14 the gym was repaired.

It is also planned to redecorate all the sports halls of the KBSU, the basketball court, renew the coating and replace the fencing of the mini-football court, install fences on the volleyball court, complete the installation of the jump pit in accordance with the requirements, complete the repair of the building structure of the checkpoint of building No. 35 and connection to the system of the KBSU sports facilities control center 25 video cameras installed at sports facilities.

The development of the sports infrastructure of KBSU had a positive impact on the achievements of students. So, the first place in the Eurasia Cup in powerlifting and strength sports was taken by the athletes of the university, who train under the guidance of the senior teacher of the Institute of Pedagogy, Psychology and Physical Culture and Sports Education of the KBSU, eight-time champion of the North Caucasus, Russian record holder in snatch, master of sports in kettlebell lifting Cherim Ingushev …

The perseverance of our athletes was rewarded in other sports: in the standings of the Student Sports Festival, the KBSU teams took 2nd place in mini-football, 2nd place in streetball among women’s teams and 2nd place in streetball among men’s teams.

In the championship of Russia in volleyball (stage of the North Caucasus Federal District) among women’s teams — 3rd place, among men’s teams — 3rd place.

The KBSU team took the team first place in the Open championship of G.O. Nalchik in kettlebell lifting among men.

The national team of KBSU is currently playing in the All-Russian football competition «National Student Football League».

Mini-football club «KBGU» became the bronze medalist of the First Division of the KBR Futsal Championship 2020-2021.
