Specialists of the psychological and pedagogical society «Atmosphere» tested KBSU’s freshmen
On March 29, 2024, about 150 first-year students of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov underwent testing, which was organized by the Atmosphere society together with the department of inclusive education in order to improve psychological assistance to students.
Addressing the testing participants, Lyudmila Nastueva, head of the department of inclusive education at KBSU, noted:
You have a unique opportunity to undergo professional psychological testing for free, learn about the state of your psychological health, and in the future, if necessary and if indicated, receive psychological help and advice from our young learned teachers.
Testing included five methods to assess the level of adaptation to studying at a university. Individual psychological portraits were compiled for the presence of depression, anxiety, stress resistance and burnout.
“The modern software package Neurosoft Psychotest provides the ability to conduct testing and process results on a computer, allowing one to draw conclusions about the psychological state of the subjects. In the future, we plan to conduct such testing at least twice during the academic year to monitor dynamics and, if necessary, provide psychological assistance and consultation,”
– commented the author of the “Atmosphere” project, chairman of the SSS IPPiFSO KBSU Ruslan Zhidkov.
The test results will also be useful for students in specialized fields when writing research papers.
The Atmosphere Society was created with the goal of developing the scientific potential and developing the research competencies of students of psychological and pedagogical specialties, involving them in research work.
The project is being implemented with the support of a grant from the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh).
