Speaker of the KBR Parliament of the 6th convocation Tatyana Egorova voted at a polling station in KBSU

Today, elections of deputies of the republic’s parliament of the seventh convocation are taking place in Kabardino-Balkaria. In the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov, polling stations are open at three sites.

At the 147th polling station, located in the main building of KBSU, the speaker of the KBR Parliament of the sixth convocation Tatyana Egorova voted. She came to fulfill her civic duty together with her husband.

This is a very important socio-political event. We all understand that in the current situation, the Parliament of the new convocation will have to solve even more serious complex tasks. Therefore, it is important that people with the necessary professional knowledge and experience be elected, who understand the complexity and importance of the upcoming work, responsibility for its results, and, of course, sincerely care about the future of Kabardino-Balkaria and Russia. I really hope that, understanding the importance of the moment, our voters will take full responsibility for exercising their electoral rights, come to the polling stations and make their informed choice,

At all three polling stations located on the basis of our university, where more than five thousand citizens are registered in total, there has been a high turnout since the morning. Public observers are actively working at all sites, who monitor the voting process. Video surveillance systems also ensure the openness and transparency of the elections.

Elections in the KBR are held according to a proportional system; parties must overcome the 5% barrier. The parties United Russia, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, A Just Russia — Patriots — For Truth, New People and the Greens have nominated their candidates in 2024.

More than 540 thousand people have the right to vote in Kabardino-Balkaria.

The region’s polling stations will close at 20:00. Therefore, every voter can express their civic position at a time convenient for them.
