Silver at the Russian Taekwondo Championship for a KBSU student

Student at the Institute of Informatics, Electronics and Robotics, Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh. M. Berbekov Daniil Yakhnenko became the silver medalist of the Russian Taekwondo Championship (WTF).

From September 23 to 29, 2023, in the capital of Adygea, in the arena of the Sports Palace of the ASU «Yakub Koblev», over 400 athletes from 49 regions of the Russian Federation competed for competition awards in 16 men’s and women’s weight categories.

Two representatives of our republic, Idar Bagov and Daniil Yakhnenko, having won four victories each, met in the final. I. Bagov climbed to the highest step of the podium, D. Yakhnenko became second.

Both athletes train under the guidance of the Honored Coach of Russia, the founder of the Five Rings Sports Academy, a coach who trained many champions and prize-winners of all-Russian and world-level tournaments, Amir Akhmetov.
