Sheikh Mullah Muhammad Salih al-Gursi spoke to KBSU students about the origins of Islam
Islamic scholar Sheikh Mullah Muhammad Salih al-Gursi, author of over thirty scholarly works and founder of the traditional style school, visited the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov.
During the meeting, the Sheikh delivered a lecture on the origins of Islam, key aspects of this world religion, the life of the Prophet Muhammad, and his role as the founder and preacher of Islamic teachings. Al-Gursi spoke in detail about the pillars of Islam, its spiritual and moral components, emphasizing the importance of following the moral principles enshrined in the Quran and Sunnah.
The scholar emphasized the students’ continuous pursuit of knowledge, urging them to look beyond the university’s curriculum. According to him, the true value of education lies not only in obtaining a diploma, but also in spiritual growth, self-improvement, and service to society, based on the principles of mercy and justice enshrined in Islam.
Following the lecture, KBSU students had the opportunity to ask questions and receive expert explanations on topics of spiritual development, moral values, and the role of religion in the modern world.
