Schoolchildren will learn how to deal with stress
On December 2, 2022, 300 students of psychological and pedagogical classes of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic took part in a scientific and practical conference held at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov within the framework of the grant social project “Student Psychological and Pedagogical Team “For a school without stress!” supported by Rosmolodezh.
Project experts and volunteers held a series of master classes on managing emotions. Recall that with the support of KBSU, 20 psychological and pedagogical classes have been created in the schools of Kabardino-Balkaria. The Russian Academy of Education, the Ministry of Science and Education of the KBR, the Institute of Pedagogics, Psychology and Sports Education of the KBSU organized networking to conduct common events to help teachers working in specialized classes.
«The task of our institute is to provide pedagogical and methodological assistance to solve the problems that teachers face in specialized classes. It is also important for us to identify students who are able to work as teachers, tutors, who love children, are inclined to study pedagogy and individual characteristics of students. For this, the employees of our institute have developed a roadmap of activities, including personal growth trainings that contribute to the development of motivation for pedagogical activity», — commented Olga Mikhailenko, Doctor of Acmeology, Director of the IPPiFSO KBSU.
Addressing schoolchildren and their teachers, the head of the project “For school without stress!” Zhaneta Ashnokova, a graduate of the IPPiFSO KBSU, noted that the conference is aimed at equipping children with knowledge and skills of psychological self-regulation, confident behavior in a stressful situation. Deputy director of the IPPiFSO KBSU, mentor of the social project «For a school without stress!» Rimma Bagova, having acquainted the participants of the conference with the program, wished them to spend their time with benefit. The practical part included master classes by leading psychologists and teachers of the IPPiFSO KBSU on stress prevention, aimed at preventing negative phenomena in the youth environment associated with the consequences of psychological trauma — anxiety, fear, self-doubt, etc. Master class of a candidate of pedagogical sciences, Associate Professor of IPPiFSO Rakhima Malkarova «Emotions and Feelings» was aimed at teaching schoolchildren to observe the change of their emotions and feelings during the day. Self-development of the skills of emotional self-regulation was carried out by the participants of the master class of Rimma Kumysheva, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the IPPiFSO.
«Any stress begins with a reaction to stress factors. Emotions are always ahead of the rational actions of a person, leaving deeper consequences both in the body and in the human psyche. Due to the consequences of emotional reactions, stresses leave traces both in the body and in the human subconscious for a very long time, until the end of life. The only way to influence this is to teach a person to manage their emotions. Emotions cannot be canceled, and it is not necessary, because thanks to them people perceive the beautiful, which means they can perform creative activities. Today we will try out the methods of emotional self-regulation in practice», — Rimma Kumysheva explained to the children.
In the process, the students had the opportunity to attend a session of emotional relaxation. High school students showed particular interest in the master class of the candidate of psychological sciences, associate professor of the IPPiFSO Budimir Nagoev on the topic «The emotional structure of love.» The psychologist believes that in life it is important to be able to distinguish between such concepts as “love”, “passion” and “love”. At the master class of the head of the project «Student Psychological and Pedagogical Team «For a school without stress!» Zhaneta Ashnokova «Painting Art Therapy of Emotions» participants worked through negative emotions, first depicting them on paper, and then getting rid of them. As a result, the guys drew positive emotions so that only a pleasant impression remained in their memory. A master class on stress art therapy using an emotional art constructor was conducted by Rimma Bagova, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor of the IPPiFSO. Three emotional states accompanying the exam were worked out: the state before the exam, during the exam and after the exam. The guys selected pieces of music that, in their opinion, correspond to these states, constructed people’s faces from fragments, trying to convey the facial expressions caused by these emotions, chose a colored background illustrating the mood of a person.
«If after our trainings you began to understand a little how to deal with stress and how to act in this or that difficult situation, then we have achieved our goal», — saying goodbye to the young guests, Olga Ivanovna also expressed her hope that in the future many of today’s high school students will become students
