Russian scientists discussed the prospects for the development of psychology and education in KBSU
From September 29 to 30, the IV All-Russian Forum with international participation «Psychology and education: experience, prospects, innovations» was held at the Elbrus Educational and Scientific Center, dedicated to discussing current trends in the development of psychological practices in education. On behalf of the leadership of the university, with the wishes of successful work, a creative approach to business and a good rest in KBR, the vice-rector for academic affairs of KBSU Vadim Lesev addressed the guests.
“I hope that this forum in a beautiful place at the foot of Elbrus will become an effective platform for discussing the prospects for the development of modern education. It is noteworthy that at the already traditional forum, issues of the development of psychological science and education are discussed with the participation of students who should continue this work in the future,” — said Vadim Nikolaevich.
In the solemn part of the forum, a number of conference participants received letters of thanks from the Kabardino-Balkarian State University for a long and fruitful cooperation in the field of science and education. For a significant contribution and merits in the field of education, several permanent participants of the conference were thanked by the Parliament of KBR, the ministry of education and science of the republic, as well as the Scientific and practical center «Public Diplomacy».
The Public council under the Ministry of education of the Saratov region presented the public medal «For educational activities» to acting first vice-rector — vice-rector for academic affairs Vadim Lesev, director of the Institute of pedagogy, psychology and sports education of KBSU Olga Mikhailenko and assistant rector, doctor of geography Sergey Shagin. Then the plenary work of the conference, organized by the Institute of pedagogy, psychology and physical culture and sports education of KBSU and the Center for psychological assistance of KBSU, continued. The purpose of the forum is to analyze current trends in the development of psychological theory and practice in the field of education, exchange experience and search for new ways of integration, and it fully corresponds to the tasks set for the pedagogical community by the government of Russia.
“Our country has adopted the concept of training teachers. Most recently, it was signed by prime minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin. There are very important components in this concept — this is increased attention to psychological and pedagogical problems, strengthening the position of practical psychology in solving actual challenges associated with modernity. It is no coincidence that digitalization, new digital behavior of children and issues related to the entry of a child into the technological world, and understanding of new meanings of the nature of life in this rapidly changing world, which, unfortunately, today is full of very complex challenges, become such a challenge. A person must find inner strength for self-development, self-understanding, for movement in this world in such a way as to benefit both himself and others, to take place in this world. Psychology today must give us these answers. We are looking at childhood anew, trying to understand anew how the world of adults and children interact with each other, which pedagogical technologies work and which do not, in fact, we will talk about this at the conference,” — emphasized the chairman of the federal educational and methodological association for higher pedagogical education in Russia Elena Kazakova.
The key event of the plenary part of the forum was the signing of agreements on scientific and practical cooperation between KBSU and the Public Council under the ministry of education of the Saratov region and the Public council under the Ministry of culture of the Saratov region. The subject of the agreement is scientific and practical cooperation, development of new projects, exchange of scientific and methodological manuals and technologies available to the parties, participation of the parties in various scientific and practical events, both at the regional and federal levels.
“This is purely scientific and practical cooperation, so we are glad that the Kabardino-Balkarian State University has met halfway, now we will plan more and more new scientific projects aimed at developing our education system,” — assured the deputy chairman of the Public council under the Ministry of education of the Saratov region, director of the ANO DPO scientific and practical center «Public diplomacy» Elena Drobysheva, who signed the agreements together with acting vice-rector of KBSU Vadim Lesev.
Students of the IPP and FSO expressed their greetings to the participants of the conference in the form of bright pop numbers, proving that an artist lives inside every teacher. The work of the conference continued in six scientific areas: «Psychological aspects of modern didactics», «Humanistic approach in education: the legacy of J. Korczak and modern challenges», «Psychology of health in education», «Psychology of professional development of a teacher», «Psychological aspects of the implementation of inclusive education», «Psychological and pedagogical support of learners».
The director of the Scientific and practical center “Public Diplomacy” took part in the work of the last sections as an expert, she shared working effective cases for teachers: “The problem of psychological support for children with disabilities is a very important and relevant point. Not all teachers are ready to provide qualified assistance to such special children. For example, many educators experience great difficulty in developing documentation that helps them to carry out the correctional development process. For many years we have been developing such interactive constructs of work programs for correctional teachers. We are not resting on our laurels and are going to involve more and more regions for further cooperation,” — shared Elena Drobysheva.
One of the most important events within the framework of the forum was the in-person scientific and practical seminar of the regional scientific center of the Russian Academy of education and scientific centers of the Russian Academy of education of the North Caucasus federal district «University science for the region» on September 30, 2022. The relevance of the work in the regional context was noted by the deputy minister of education and science of KBR Ekaterina Misostova.
“According to our forecasts, literally in 2-3 years we will have a shortage of personnel among the teaching staff, which will amount to more than one and a half thousand workers in the field of education, our average age is quite high — over 47 years, in connection with this, this problem is very urgent and we need young qualified teaching staff who would join the educational organizations of the republic and give a new impetus to the education system. This year, we are introducing updated state educational standards, and the very requirements for primary school graduates, secondary school graduates, which are specified in these standards, correspond to the fact that qualified teachers are of a fairly young age”.
Within the framework of the forum, a number of excursions were held, both local history — to the sights of the Elbrus region, and academic — to the scientific and educational centers of KBSU. Elena Kazakova, chairman of the Federal educational and methodological association for Higher pedagogical education in Russia, highly appreciated the competencies of the teaching staff of the IPPiFSO KBSU, headed by its director Olga Mikhailenko, and the overall level of technological development of the entire Kabardino-Balkarian State University:
“This was my first visit to the KBSU campus since I came here for practice in my student years. And you know, all the meetings that took place there made a strong impression. Firstly, the technological re-equipment of the university is impressive, here, of course, the leadership of the university, headed by Yuri Altudov, should be noted. It has become a remarkably practice-oriented high school. A huge number of platforms have been created where a student can master his future profession not in theory, but in practice. I was completely shocked by the situational center of the university, where emphasis is placed on safety, the environmental component, and energy saving. This is really the university management center from the standpoint of economy, rationality, rationality, in conjunction with the key concepts of Agile technologies, lean economy. The visit to the Pedagogical college made an indelible impression on me. Today, a very important challenge for the country is the seamless transition of college graduates to universities. It seems to me that a lot has been created there for this – methodically and technologically. So that college graduates, on the one hand, have the opportunity to enter the labor market early, because we now have an acute shortage of teachers in the country, but on the other hand, without breaking away from the profession, they could receive higher and higher quality education,” — noted Elena Kazakova.
As a result of the conference, an electronic version of the collection of articles was prepared with the assignment of an ISBN number and registration in the RSCI. All methodological materials presented at the conference will be sent to the forum participants for further use in their work.
