Russian Congress Of Heads Of Volunteer Organizations Held In KBR

From December 6 to December 10, the All-Russian Congress of Heads of Volunteer Associations that are part of the Association of Volunteer Centers of Russia was held in the village of Tegenekli of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic. The event was attended by over 160 representatives of organizations from more than 50 constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
On December 7, within the framework of the Congress, a solemn opening ceremony of the All-Russian Congress of the leaders of volunteer associations was held, the General Meeting of the members of the Association of Volunteer Centers and a meeting of the Council of the Association were held.
Opening the Congress, Chairman of the AVC Council, member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation Artem Metelev thanked the organizers of the forum — Kabardino-Balkarian State University. Berbekov for a warm welcome in a picturesque place and noted that this meeting will be for the Association of Volunteer Centers a beautiful end to the volunteer year in Russia.
“We all came from the International Forum of Volunteers, which was held in Moscow at VDNKh, where there was an amazing atmosphere, where we were greeted by President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, who noted that the Year of Volunteer was over, but the theme of the development of volunteering remains and does not lose its relevance. Here, we will just discuss the results of our practical work, prospects, strategies and plans for the coming year,” — said Artem Metelev.

I want to note that the social well-being of a person in Russia is largely determined by your work, so I sincerely thank you and wish you good luck in all your good deeds! ”
The Minister of Education, Science and Youth Affairs of the CBD, Auys Kumykov, in his speech stressed that the Year of Volunteer brought positive results to each region of the country, both in terms of the implementation of specific public benefit projects, and in terms of educating young people in the spirit of high civic values.
“A year ago, a detachment of volunteers from the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic consisted of eight thousand volunteers, and today it has 18 thousand people of different ages: schoolchildren, students, elderly people, the so-called“ silver ”volunteers. Among the peoples of the CBD, such a phenomenon as volunteering has always existed, mutual aid and support for the weak and weak are embedded in the ethical standards of Adyghe Khabze and Tau-adet. This year served to strengthen the ancestors’ knowledge and give new quality and scale to volunteering, ”said Awes Kumykov.

Further, at the General Meeting of the AVC members, which is the supreme governing body of the Association, by voting representatives of the member organizations of the AVC, the most important decisions were taken concerning the future of the organization. Thus, the following issues were considered: “Annual report on the activities of the Association in 2018”; “On approval of the new edition of the Charter of the Association of Volunteer Centers”; «On the results of monitoring the performance of members of the Association of Volunteer Centers»; “On the expediency of further membership of the least active organizations according to the results of 2018”; A report on the development plans of the Association for 2019 and several organizational and personnel issues.

In addition, the awarding of organizations-leaders on the results of activities for 2018 was held. And here it is appropriate to note that the Regional Resource Center for the Promotion of the Volunteer Movement of the CBD “Promotion” was among them. Its head, Svetlana Samofalova, received a certificate from the management of AVC.
According to the results of monitoring the performance of the members of the Association, our Resource Center is located in the “green zone”, as an organization leading in all areas of activity, and also among the leaders in organizing and organizing events of regional importance.
As part of the forum program, a general session was held: “AVC Federal Programs in 2019. Plan of measures ”, educational and methodical seminars in working groups, as well as excursion trips to the Azau glade, climbing on the cable car, skiing, snowboarding, trips to the thermal springs to the Narzanov glade and much more.
According to the participants, the Congress helped assess the results, formulate plans and gave the leaders of Russian volunteers a lot of positive emotions that motivate them to continue their fruitful work.
