Representatives of KBSU took part in a ceremonial meeting dedicated to the Repatriate’s Day

Deputy Director of the Institute of Pedagogy, Psychology and Physical Culture and Sports Education of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov Ruzana Pshigausheva together with teachers Svetlana Apsheva and Timur Pashtov took part in a ceremonial meeting dedicated to the Repatriate’s Day. It is celebrated on August 1 in connection with the return of the first batch of Kosovo Circassians to the territory of the Republic of Adygea 25 years ago.

The organizer of the ceremonial meeting was the International Circassian Association. Repatriates from Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Israel, Germany and other countries gathered in the state concert hall of Nalchik.

As noted by the President of the ICA Khauti Sokhrokov, the Adyghe who returned to their historical homeland have integrated into Russian society, adapted, socialized, accepted and observe the laws of the country, customs and traditions, set an example of self-expression in work, study, and cultural life.

The repatriates were awarded with gratitude from the ICA. Then a concert program was presented by popular artists of the KBR.

Representatives of KBSU had time to get acquainted with the works of the People’s Artist of the KBR Zaurbek Bgazhnokov and exhibits of the exhibition of national cultural centers and the Kazanoko Zhabagi School of Arts.

At the end of the event, the youth staged the traditional Circassian «Adyghe dzhegu».
