Remembering Songs Of Zaramuk Kardangushev
The works of the Kabardian writer, ethnographer, People’s Artist of the KBR Zaramuk Kardangushev were talked about on December 14 at the KBSU social and humanitarian institute at a meeting of the Modern Problems of Folklore Studies group under the guidance of Professor Zinaida Kudaeva.
In honor of the 100th anniversary of the famous folklorist, first-year students discussed ancient Adyg historical and heroic songs, many of which were recorded, researched and published thanks to Zaramuk Kardangushev. In particular, they talked about the songs “Kulkuzhin Battle”, “Karakashkkatau Battle”, “Song of the Great Night Attack”. Students Marina Makhova, Roksalana Shokueva and Karina Terkulova spoke in detail about the historical events that formed the basis of these songs, their genre features and the history of their creation.
The unique atmosphere of the meeting was created by the folk music and the heartfelt voice of Zaramuk Kardangushev, thanks to the activity and talent of which unique samples of the Adygian folk songs, a part of its traditional culture, will forever remain in the memory of the descendants.
From the informative presentation, the participants learned about the colorful life and creative activity of the ethnographer writer.
Speaking about the activities of the “Modern Problems of Folklore Studies” group, aimed at deepening ideas about oral literature and traditional culture of peoples living both in the republic and abroad, Zinaida Kudaeva invited everyone who is interested in the historical past of her people and its culture to take part in further work.
