REDS Robot Programming: KBSU Employees Complete Internship at IT Company TechnoRed
A team from the Institute of Electronics, Robotics, and Artificial Intelligence at KBSU successfully completed an internship at the TechnoRed Moscow technology center. The delegation included Rustam Kalmykov, Associate Professor of the Department of Electronics and Digital Information Technology; Azamat Melyazhev, Assistant Professor of the Department; and Alim Bekulov, first-year student.
The internship focused on programming REDS collaborative robots—advanced machines capable of safely working alongside humans.
The internship participants thoroughly studied the processes of configuring robot software, determining their position in space, selecting optimal motion trajectories, and calibrating coordinate systems. Particular attention was paid to interacting with augmented reality (AR) interfaces, which allow visualization of a virtual model of a manipulator without launching real devices.
According to Rustam Kalmykov, Associate Professor of the Department of Electronics and Digital Information Technologies at KBSU, the acquired knowledge will be integrated into the university’s curricula.
«The training not only allowed us to master cutting-edge technologies but also gain practical experience working with modern robotic equipment. This will undoubtedly improve the quality of our students’ preparation for careers in the IT field,» he noted.
The internship at the technology company TechnoRed was part of the federal project «Development of Human Resource Potential in the IT Industry,» implemented under the Priority 2030 program.
