Pushkin readings were held at KBSU

As part of the celebration of the International Day of the Russian Language and on the eve of the birthday of the «Sun of Russian Poetry» in the library of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov passed the traditional Pushkin readings «Pushkiniana-2023». The organizers of the readings are the library of the university and the scientific and educational center of the Russian language and culture of the KBSU.

The event was opened by Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Leading Specialist in NTI and Social and Intellectual Communications of the KBSU Library Madina Buranova and candidate of Philology, director of the Scientific and Educational center of the Russian language and culture of the Department of Russian Language and General Linguistics Nadezhda Chaika. Madina Buranova noted:

Every year this event gives us a unique opportunity to discover talents, develop the creative potential of children and students. After all, it is so important to guide creative youth, to cultivate love for Russian classical literature. A.S. Pushkin is a healer of souls, inspiring modern man, making the world kinder and more sublime.

Participants of the Pushkin Readings (from preschoolers to university students and staff) visited a thematic exhibition organized by the Rare Books Department and the Library’s Fiction Department. Pupils of preschool educational institutions read their favorite poems of the brilliant Alexander Sergeevich and excerpts from The Tale of Tsar Saltan. Schoolchildren, students and university staff shared readings of their favorite poems, excerpts from the novel «Eugene Onegin» and other works by Pushkin. Students of the Pedagogical College of KBSU prepared a sketch based on the «Tale of the Dead Princess and the Seven Bogatyrs».

The penetrating lines of A. S. Pushkin cannot leave anyone indifferent. It is clear and close to foreign students studying at KBSU. About 50 speakers gathered in the hall of the KBSU library. The event was held in a cozy creative atmosphere, it was a real holiday that inspired young children, schoolchildren and students, re-discovered for them the vast poetic world of the genius Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin.
