Programmer’s Day celebrated at KBSU

On September 13, students and teachers of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov celebrated the Day of the programmer in Russia, celebrated since 2009 on the 256th calendar day.

To congratulate future IT specialists, especially first-year students who have a professional holiday, gathered acting. Svetlana Hashirova, Vice-Rector for Research, Timur Hakulov, a representative of ITV, a Russian developer of software for security systems and video surveillance, Alim Kanamgotov, director of the branch of the TOR Computer Academy, and Tatyana Hashirova, head of the Department of Computer Technologies and Information Security of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies, whose pupils and organized this creative it-evening.

Vice-Rector for Research Svetlana Hashirova wished future specialists to study consciously and comprehend all the new facets of a promising profession.

“This is one of the most relevant professions today, and every year, every day it will only become even more attractive as new technologies appear and are introduced into our lives,” — Svetlana Yuryevna emphasized. On this significant day, they did not forget to thank and present certificates to students who distinguished themselves in their studies, scientific, social and sports life of the institute.

Tatyana Hashirova, head of the Department of Computer Technologies and Information Security of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies, also addressed the audience with warm words: “Dear guys, I wish you ingenuity, ingenuity and creativity in your work, well-being, happiness and good luck in life. And let your every day be programmed for success. I hope that in the near future your names will become known all over the world.”

After words of welcome and good wishes, a small concert program was presented to the attention of those present, where students-programmers showed that they understand not only computers, but also sing, dance and play musical instruments perfectly. At the end, it was time for the traditional intellectual game «Own Game», which took place in two stages — qualifying and main rounds. First, the guys had to divide into teams of 5 people, and the team captain, by clicking on the QR code, had to enter the data of the entire team and answer simple questions from the school curriculum. The two best teams advance to the next round, where they compete for the title of the smartest.

The winners got a sweet prize — the favorite food of programmers.
