October 12 — the day of foundation of KBSU

Dear teachers, staff, students, postgraduates, residents and graduates of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov!

On October 12, our university turns 89 years old. Congratulations to everyone on this date!

Founded in 1932 as a pedagogical institute, the first institution of higher education in the republic was transformed into a university in 1957, and since then the range of its educational and scientific competencies has been steadily expanding.

KBSU as a multidisciplinary educational and scientific complex with a highly developed infrastructure and modern material and technical base makes a worthy contribution to the economy, social sphere, to the development of education, science and culture of the region.

About 17 thousand students from 41 constituent entities of the Russian Federation and 43 foreign countries study at the university. Graduates of the university successfully work in enterprises of the real sector of the economy, in social institutions and other organizations.

I would like to express my deep gratitude to the university staff for their professionalism, high responsibility in fulfilling the assigned tasks, for the successes achieved and striving for important goals for the university and the region.

I wish you all good health, optimism, the implementation of your plans, and large, interesting projects.

I am sure that by the anniversary date — the 90th anniversary of the KBSU named after H.M. Berbekov, we will approach with high indicators in labor and educational activities, science and socio-cultural sphere.
