Mentor of the Year was Selected at KBSU
The new competition “Mentor of the Year – 2024”, organized by the Department of Youth Policy and Educational Work of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov, has thundered, danced, and sounded.
It should be noted that the goal of the “Mentor of KBSU” program is to help first-year students adapt to the university environment, as well as to reveal their creative potential. Senior students act as mentors.
The mentoring system has been functioning at the university for several years. In 2023, the “Mentor” project was among the winners of the All-Russian competition Rosmolodezh.Grants among educational institutions of higher education.
Six students who completed training under the “Mentor” program and are able to find the key to each first-year student competed for the title of “Mentor of the Year of KBSU”. These are Adelina Vindizheva (IPPiFSO and PC), Kazimir Paritov (IPEiF), Dinara Nasyplieva (IIIiCT), Djannet Loova (ISiChLH), Sataney Shausheva (IPPiFSO and PC) and Marina Tokmakova (IIIiCT).
The contestants demonstrated their talents in creative numbers, tested their knowledge of the history and structure of KBSU in the intellectual game «Weak Link», and also took part in improvised bets. First-year students from their academic groups actively helped their mentors.
And the participants did not disappoint, they revealed their best qualities, putting the jury before a difficult choice. But in any competition, a winner must be determined. After a long meeting, a student of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies Dinara Nasyplieva was recognized as the mentor of the year. And Marina Tokmakova, who also studies at this institute, became the vice-mentor of the year.
