Meeting of KBSU students with the Chairman of the International Islamic Mission
The Chairman of the International Islamic Mission and General Representative of the Coordination Center of Muslims of the North Caucasus in Moscow Shafig Pshikhachev visited the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov.
At the meeting with the university students, current issues concerning the role of Islam in modern society, family values, as well as the interaction of young people with religious institutions were discussed.
Addressing the young audience, Shafig Pshikhachev said that in Islam it is not customary to distinguish people by nationality and skin color, and also to focus on their religious affiliation. Therefore, we must respect each other, regardless of religion and nationality.
Islam instills in a person the kindest moral principles — respect for others, for the older generation, for family values, for close relatives, for nature and work,
— noted Shafig Pshikhachev.
The mufti also drew the students’ attention to the fact that they should be careful about the information that is published on social networks.
Such information may be false and destructive, and one should not contribute to its dissemination. One should trust only verified official sources,
— the mufti emphasized.
Shafig Pshikhachev called on KBSU students to take their studies more seriously, since the acquisition of knowledge is one of the basic requirements of Islam.
