Media about KBSU: Art is not for everyone. From the university media center
Media Center of Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov presented an unusual project “Art (not) for everyone,” in which students, undergraduates and graduate students of different directions take part. In the Telegram channel and on the VKontakte page you can see a video about the life and work of Marina TSVETAEVA.
The great poetess put into her works an immense range of feelings and experiences, which each of us is able to convey through the prism of the screen. Tragic, full of ups and downs, her fate never ceases to excite the minds of readers and researchers of the poetess’s work. The video featured the works “To my poems, written so early…” (1913), “I will repeat on the eve of separation…” (1915), “I will win you from all lands, from all heavens…” (1916), and “Requiem” ( 1913) teachers and students read in the final.
The author of the program, Roza SARGSYAN, spoke about the history of the project:
– The project “Art (not) for everyone” was invented by me while I was studying at the Faculty of Journalism as part of the educational television of KBSU TV. At some point, it became impossible to combine it with work, and I suspended my creative activity. A couple of years later, the correspondent of the KBSU media center Armine KASPAROVA wrote to me and suggested we jointly resume filming the program. Thanks to “Art,” she and I became friends. I have long wanted to film something based on the lyrics of Marina Tsvetaeva, since her poems are very close to me. Thus, the topic was chosen, we started working on the script and selected the actors. This is probably the largest of all our projects, because many people took part in it — from students and university staff to our friends. Armine took over the entire organizational part. Filming took place in several locations: on Resort Lake, at Stalin’s dacha and at the university itself. The whole cast collected the props: they used old books, grandmother’s candlestick and even notebooks from her studies with pages yellowed by time, and a bouquet of daisies. We thought for a long time about the stage images, trying to get as close as possible to that era. You could say that the entire program, like the props, was put together using puzzles. We simply could not have done it without the help of all the participants. The day before the planned filming, we were left without a cameraman; we were very worried that everything would have to be cancelled. But a familiar photographer, Inal PSHETSUKOV, agreed to help us. This was his first experience of filming in this format, but we were simply delighted with his work, because every frame was shot the way we intended. We were also helped with the filming by Bella BATUEVA, designer of the media center, Iskhak MURACHAYEV, specialist in the department of youth policy and educational work of the university (UMPiVR), Asker SHIBZUKHOV, head of the department of ecology and environmental management of UMPiVR KBSU. Next we started installation. Armine and I selected background music and fonts, at the very beginning the song “I like that you are sick not with me” performed by the head of the media center Jamila BECHELOVA is heard. Anton SCHASTNEV helped us with sound engineering. I would like to express my gratitude to all the guys who played with us, who helped with the props and took us to different locations. There was a special atmosphere on the set; everyone was very passionate about the process and gave it their all. The project is designed both for a student audience and for every fan of M. Tsvetaeva’s work. We also wanted to attract the casual viewer and interest him in literature. The program can be viewed in the public domain on VKontakte and the Telegram channel. We are currently preparing to film a program about science fiction literature dedicated to Science Day, and we really hope that our audience will grow.
