March 8 — Day of Remembrance for Victims of Deportation of the Balkar People
Dear teachers, staff and students of KBSU!
March 8 — Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Deportation of the Balkar People. This date was established in memory of the tragic event of 1944, when the Balkar people, like some other peoples of our country, were forcibly deported to Central Asia and Kazakhstan.
The migrants faced the hardest trials, but they, showing unbending will and hard work, retaining their spiritual potential, returned to their native land thirteen years later and joined the process of creating a prosperous future for their descendants.
On this mournful and memorable day, we share the grief and pain of the Balkar people, we bow our heads before the blessed memory of the victims of deportation.
We wish peace and prosperity to our republic, to each of its residents.
